Nic Tucker

NIc fell in love with an adaption of Japanese woodblock printmaking when she attended Dunedin School of Art in the late 80’s.
"I have taught art and lived all over NZ, from Invercargill, many places in between to Ahipara, west of Kaitaia. I currently am based in Napier. Whist teaching what struck me was the deep impact and importance of our land, our whenua, and our connection to it. My imagery reflects this. The larger works take over a hundred hours to draw and carve, I enjoy the total process of creating each of these woodblock prints. From my press to your wall, it is done with total aroha.
