Darren Stowe

For the past nine years, I have dedicated my craftsmanship to working with stone, with a particular focus on pounamu (jade), while my affinity for wood spans throughout my entire adult life. The enduring nature of stone, which surpasses nearly all other materials, has increasingly captivated me.

Presently, I work from the comfort of my home in Dunedin, where I pour my passion into crafting timeless pieces of art. When it comes to wearable pieces, they develop a unique bond with their wearer by absorbing their body's oils. In case of other pieces made of wood and stone, I recommend occasional oiling with natural oils, ensuring their longevity and continued beauty. Trust me; they'll thank you for the love and care!
