As I was about to head around the base track of the Mount, I came across this little dinghy on Pilot Bay. I often wonder about the people who live out there on their boats, the adventures they have, the sense of peace and isolation - slightly apart from the noisy, busy world. This painting aims to conjure up that wonder at a different way of life, and the act of dipping in and out of the hustle of the world as you come ashore.
